The Iowa youth season rolled around and Jaden was excited to get out and chase big bucks with his dad Jade. The two of them have put in the work this offseason with planting foodplots, brushing in ground blinds, monitoring trail cameras and spending alot of time glassing their hunting areas in the evenings. All of this offseason preparation put 9 year old Jaden in the hot seat on the 1st afternoon of the Iowa youth season as James was filming and his dad coaching. With warm temperatures, deer movement was late. Several does and small bucks entered the clover field and then the guys noticed a large deer moving back in the timber. The buck cleared the line fence and entered the field. Jaden settled on the deer and made a great shot with the Thompson Center muzzleloader. The deer ran about 100 yards across the field and piled up before he could get to the timber. This is Jaden’s 4th buck, he has had a heck of a start to his hunting career. The big old Iowa bruiser gross scored 163 3/8. Good job Jaden!
