Iowa late season hunting has been anything but good as far as the weather conditions go up to this point.  Warm weather, no snow, and bad winds left Brennen scratching his head for the better part of the season.  New Years eve rolled around and a cold snap finally hit.  With several good bucks on camera, moving almost exclusively in the darkness of night, Brennen had high hopes that one of them would slip up with the drop in temperature.  The deer began moving early that night as Brennen was set up between a large tract of timber and a standing corn field.  This buck came out bumping does about a half hour before dark when the muzzleloader ignited.
