After bear camp, it was time to start buckling down in North Dakota. The 1st weekend of hunting brought good deer movement but the shooters just weren’t quite moving in daylight yet. The temperatures dropped off during the week while Mike was back at work and of course the big bucks were standing in front of his cameras during daylight. He returned Saturday morning for a 2 day hunt. After checking cameras and looking at the wind direction, Mike slipped in to hunt the same area that he had killed his 2014 buck out of. 80 degrees with 30mph gusts of wind made for a slow night. Just as Mike was doing a closing interview for the night, out stepped the buck that he had gone in after. No better feeling than an 8 hour trip home with a buck in the bed of the truck.
