Brennen could have never anticipated the season that he has had up until this point in 2015. After getting kicked around by the deer in North Dakota for over a month he returned home to Iowa to begin hunting hard in late October. Missed opportunities along with sheer bad luck, the grind was beginning to take its’ toll. It came down to the wire, the last evening that Brennen was going to be able to hunt before the gun seasons came in. About an hour before dark, a solid buck stepped out onto the food plot and began working his direction. After a stand off, the buck went broadside at 25 yards and gave him a shot.
