In 2013, one of Brennen’s good friends drew an Iowa archery tag and would be hunting on one of the farms. He had an opportunity at a great buck, unfortunately he made a non fatal shot. The buck survived and Brennen decided to name him after his friend..”Ronnie”. This buck was on and off the map for the next few seasons but never with any consistency. That all changed after the rut this year. He had moved in and was very regular on the north end of the farm. Brennen waited for the right wind and slipped into a blind that he had previously set up for this particular scenario. With about a half hour left of shooting light, “Ronnie” stepped out on the food plot to check some does and the rest is history.
